Spontaneous outing surprises disorient me

Yesterday I decided on the spur of the moment to do a pick up order at Pet Supplies Plus for some freeze dried dog food they had on sale. I also needed to sign up for the Krispy Kreme program so that when my birthday comes, I get free donuts (plus when you sign up!). So I decided to go there, as well.

I don’t usually do well with spur of the moment things, but I thought I could handle it.

Well, I got to Pet Supplies Plus, and called to let them know I was outside. Apparently cousin Tamara was inside and heard them say my name, so she came out to say hello! I was shocked to see her, but very happy! I invited her to come to Krispy Kreme with me, but she had to pick up Aunt Nancy in about 10–15 minutes, so she declined.

So I left, and on my way to Krispy Kreme, I realized I could have gotten out of the car and hung out with Tamara at the pet store! I felt so terrible about that, and I ended up getting totally discombobulated about the whole thing…Should I turn around and drive back? Would she still be there? Would the employees think I was weird for doing a pickup order and then coming into the store???

I was so upset that I ended up ordering the wrong donut at Krispy Kreme. Then I wanted some tap water because I forgot my water bottle, but I was so upset and anxious that I couldn’t bring myself to ask for it!

So I ate my donut quickly, didn’t enjoy it, and was ragingly thirsty! So I went right home and complained to Brad about my ill-fated outing. Guess that’ll teach me to do things on the spur of the moment!
