Today I’ve been focusing on the dogs. I had a nice time relaxing on the couch this morning with Hestia and got a picture of her asleep taking up a full third of the couch! Remember she is only 8 lbs!
Later on I gave Ollie a bath with my new Eucalyptus Dr. Bronner’s soap. He was a very good boy and came with me into the bathroom and got into the tub on his own when I asked.
Once he was squeaky clean, I gave him and Hestia bully sticks as a reward. They loved them! I got a few pictures of them chewing on their bully sticks and really enjoyed watching them enjoy them.
Next I decided to take advantage of the sunshine and bright blue sky to take Hestia on a walk! It was 50 degrees, so I put her Empress coat on her. This is her teal Chinese-themed coat. But halfway through the walk she was getting warm, so I took it off. I got LOTS of fun pictures of her (and me!) during the walk.
It’s been nice to focus on the dogs today. I’ve been in a bad place mentally lately. I don’t know what else I have in store for them tonight, but I figured I’d go ahead and post the pictures of our adventures so far!
Hestia is a small white and black Japanese Chin with a smushed nose and googley eyes. Ollie is a silver Standard Poodle. I am a woman with long wavy brown hair and round turquoise glasses.
It is SUPER NICE & FUN to spend a day with your dog(s). Being home all day, I get to spend all of every day with my dog The Cop. (3 yr old GSD bitch.) I can’t imagine being anywhere without her, but tomorrow we will be separated for a hour or more. I’m taking a friend up to breeder friend’s house to see the last 2 puppies from a litter of 8 that she had a couple month ago. Because of the possible transfer of “cooties”, The Cop will have to stay in the car while we visit. (Don’t worry, up in the Foothills it is VERY cool at 9:30am & I’ll be parked in the shade too. Only to return and find Cop in MY drivers seat! I always unclip her seat belt harness in base some thing unforeseen happens and she would need to be cut out of the seat belt to untangle or help her. So for a couple hours I’ll be spending my doggie day playing with puppies and inhaling their breath!!
