Brad has known his best friend Rohit since high school. Together they founded a philosophy and religious studies club for their high school, and Brad went on to study philosophy, while Rohit went on to study religion. Rohit is a professor in Tennessee now.
Yesterday Rohit came to spend the night with us, and he brought his dog Padma. Padma and Hestia quickly became fast friends! We put Ollie in the animal room in his crate, and let the pups run around like crazy. They had an excellent time! They were perfectly matched in play style, size, and almost matched in energy.
The humans and Hestia went out for dinner to a Japanese/Thai restaurant called Hiro. We wanted to go to Sila Thai Restaurant which is supposed to be the best one in the area, but they were closed for vacation. But Hiro was very good! Unfortunately they didn’t have any sake at the restaurant, so we stopped by several stores trying to buy some. Turns out there is some law about not selling liquor after 7PM, but we didn’t know that! So in the end we went to Earth Fare and got wine and wasabi soybeans.
As the humans drank wine and talked a lot and laughed even more, Padma and Hestia eventually wore each other out. Well, Hestia was really worn out. Padma could have gone another round or two!
Brad got a bunch of great photos of Hestia and Padma! They are all below with descriptions. For descriptions across all of the pictures, Brad is a slight white guy with a huge beard. He is wearing a blue sweater and a light gray scarf with dark gray silhouettes of a winter tree and flying birds. Rohit is an Indian guy, similar build to Brad, wearing a dark denim shirt and a black coat with a blue scarf. Veronica has long brown wavy hair and is wearing a red sugar skull dress.
Hestia is an 8 pound black and white dog with a smushed face. Padma is a 15 lb dog who is part Daschund (she is as tall as Hestia, just short legs and long body). She is a classic black and tan color, with hair about the same length as Hestia’s (feathery hair a couple of inches long in most places).
I see SO much Dejapants in Padma!!! Hestia looks all kinds of worn out, LOL, poor Empress!
Wonderful shots…glad y’all got to reunite and celebrate <3
