Tonight was our annual NAMI holiday party. We planned to stop by Tuesday Morning on our way there to get some more tea for kombucha, and for making iced tea, too. We thought we’d leave the house at 4:30. So neither of us set an alarm, thinking we would for sure wake up in time. Well, I woke up just before 4, which is perfect for me (I take 30 min to get ready). When I went to get in the shower, I saw that Brad was still sleeping! And he normally takes 2 hrs to get ready!
So I woke him up, and we sped through getting ready and were able to leave the house by 5:10. Brad was fast! We got to Tuesday Morning and had just enough time to buy a lot of tea ($3.99 for 50 bags) before we had to be at NAMI.
I wore my turquoise with black polka dot dress with a purple blazer over it, and a petticoat underneath to give me volume. Brad wore a green shirt with a red and white tie, a black blazer, and his red coat. Oh and Brad also had a red hat on and a festively green scarf. Hestia matched me in her turquoise Omni-Vest.
We had a good NAMI meeting, then went downstairs for the party. It was great to see people I hadn’t seen in a while! The food was good, and it was pretty easy to stay gluten and sugar free… well, except for dessert. The cake was calling my name! But I resisted! Brad was so proud.
They had a raffle of the last of the decoupaged heads we made for the LYCOS art project. I was sitting at the table where the head I made was featured. And someone from my table won it! I won the last head, and she very nicely agreed to swap heads with me 🙂 We had a great time talking with everyone there, and Brad got a few pictures. Enjoy!
Party on, Team Morris! <3
Thanks!
The cake really called my name, too. I think the only reason I managed to resist was because I had already eaten a lot for my entrée. It was a very nice dinner.
Yes, it was fun and tasty! Good job not eating cake, too!
