This morning we went to water aerobics at the Y. It was the first day that the outdoor pool was open!
Normally I leave Hestia attached to a ladder on the side of the pool in front of a door that is marked as an Emergency Exit. She wasn’t in anyone’s way there. However, now that the outdoor pool is open, they leave the emergency exit door open for lifeguards go back and forth between the indoor and outdoor pools.
Hestia was pretty good. She moved when people tried to step over her, which she is trained to do, but was confusing for the lifeguards. But for the most part she just hung out. Oh and today I didn’t bring her crate or bully stick because she didn’t use them hardly at all the last two times. She didn’t miss her crate or bully stick at all.
Mostly, the lifeguards were getting surprised there was a dog there, and were getting a bit tripped up I guess you could say. So next time I will be using a different ladder, not in front of the emergency exit!
