Yesterday on the way home from NAMI, I stopped to get dog food for Hestia. We walked into the store and the first thing we saw was a big holiday display, all 50% off! They had the PERFECT dress for Miss Hestia. It is red velvet, with white fur trim around the neck and the bottom of the dress. It has 9 rhinestones on top of the dress, and a sparkly ribbon that goes around the dress with a huge rhinestone in the middle. It is SO cute!
I couldn’t decide if I should get it or not, because it was still $10, and that is a lot of money for us. So I had Hestia wear it around the store a while to see how much we liked it. Hestia didn’t seem to notice it, and all the humans in the store were delighted. I did get to stop and see the guinea pigs, and met a family who was going to buy one (they already had another at home). I got into a long conversation with them about guinea pig care etc.
Anyway, obviously I had to buy the dress, and when I got home Brad let me keep it instead of returning it! It was late, though, so not good light for a photo shoot.
We did the photoshoot today. I got out Ollie’s red antlers, and I wore my red sweater dress so we would all match. We got on the bed (the quilt on top was made by my great grandmother, and is basically every color and pattern she could find at the time) and had a really fun time getting pictures taken!
The funniest part was when Ollie was trying to take off his antlers or otherwise sulking about having his antlers on. Brad got some really funny shots of me laughing at Ollie! And the photo shoot was only like 5 min, so Ollie wasn’t tortured for too long. Hestia doesn’t mind her dress at all, and is still wearing it!
So here is a link to all the photos, and I will post a few of the best ones below.
aw, Ollieman, Tao feels ya, bud <3 That last picture is priceless! Hestia, you wear your royalty well, Empress! <3
All three of you are adorable. That was $10 well spent, plus she can wear it every year.
